The studio

The name kōbō, coming from the Japanese word for “maker’s studio,” reflects a dedicated space to focus on the craft.

We are a community-driven ceramics studio offering 24/7 access for resident artists, alongside classes and workshops designed to support all stages of learning and knowledge sharing. We also host events and on site markets to create opportunities for the broader community to connect with ceramics and the people who make it.

Kōbō is situated in a bright, high-ceiling industrial warehouse in Rock Bay, with garage doors, a cozy loft and abundant natural light.
